Standridge2-17-1

Dear Friends,

2017 has begun with some very exciting developments!

“La Radice”, the church we are presently involved in, is well on its way to confirm its leadership and several home groups have started with mature believers taking responsibility for the Bible studies.
A Class has been started to prepare four new believers for baptism. One of them is the husband of a believer who decided to follow Christ after over 10 years of attendance.

“Isola”, the Conference Center, has been through some very difficult times due to continuing earthquakes and a very severe snow storm which isolated the whole region leaving over 80,000 homes without electricity. Because the buildings are strong and safe, they have been able to host several families from the area, make the gym available to the local schools, host P.T.A. meetings and become the base of operations for several rescue crews involved in the area. It’s been one of the most productive times of ministry to the local population. Next month we will begin to prepare for the many summer camps and conference weeks scheduled.

In keeping with his new responsibilities in the European Leadership Team, Dan traveled to Thailand to attend a conference for CW workers who are involved in some very challenging areas in the Far East. About 60 adults are using English schools, rescue ministries and business as a means to reach and disciple a new generation of believers.

On the home front this month, Priscilla is traveling back to Milan to defend her P.h.D. thesis while Lydia is finishing her B.S. in English and Russian literature . Donna travels to the US to be part of the Global Missions Conference at her home church in Birmingham, AL and visit with her parents for a few days.

Standridges 2-17-2Last week, we traveled to Rome for a family reunion to celebrate Dan’s Dad’s 90th birthday. He is in good health and still has opportunities to teach and mentor young men. He is working on a letter to his ministry partners in the US who have been supporting him since 1949 to share his intentions to step into “active retirement”.

It remains a privilege to be here and partner with you and many churches who pray and support our work here. Without you and your involvement with us, much of this would not be possible. Thank you so much.

In Christ, Dan and Donna
